Evaluating each Lakers vs Thunder player’s performance in the team’s 139-96 defeat to the Thunder.
Right from the tip-off, the outcome seemed clear. The Thunder demonstrated why they sit 10 games ahead of the defending champs. Los Angeles struggled on both ends, failing to make a field goal until 7:07 in the first quarter. Oklahoma City built a lead of 23 points in that opening period and racked up 82 points by halftime, effectively putting the game out of reach.
Compounding the defeat, the Lakers left the court with injuries. Luka Dončić exited in the third quarter due to a left hamstring strain, while Austin Reaves appeared to be dealing with back issues, though he was able to finish the Lakers vs Thunder game.
On the bright side—though it may feel grim—they face the Thunder again next Tuesday, giving them a chance to adjust and improve.
Here’s a closer look at each player’s performance, with grades assigned relative to expectations. A “B” indicates an average showing for that player Lakers vs Thunder.
